Instructor & Alumni News

Modern and jazz instructor Anastasia Wiebe performed at the national CanDance Network conference last month. She appeared in a piece choreographed by another LHSD alumna, Jessica Lowe. CanDance is a network of Canada’s dance presenters.

Alumna Hilary Knee is busy forging a dance career in her home province, Newfoundland. When she isn’t teaching at the Corner Brook Dance Hub, she is creating and performing original works. On September 27, she performed at the Festival of New Dance in St. John’s, NL, produced by the Neighbourhood Dance Works. To learn more about Hilary, visit her website.

Former instructor and alumna Rebecca Wolfe was on the set of Sullivan’s Crossing this Fall. Watch for her in their next season on CTV, Netflix or Prime. She also appears in the Nutcracker as Lotte Drosselmeyer and Mother Ginger this December.

 KiDanCo News

As we prepare to relaunch KiDanCo this coming spring, we wanted to spark creativity through a group photoshoot outing during Nocturne on Saturday, October 18. With cameras in hand, we collaborated in the creation of site-specific dance photographs in downtown Halifax.
